Meet the team

The Tutors Behind Blue Sky.

A growing team, one shared approach: patient, curriculum-aligned, and focused on making progress visible.

Estephanus Espanioli, founder of Blue Sky Tutoring
B.Eng, Industrial Engineering Dalhousie University Dean's List
Founder

Estephanus Espanioli

Este built Blue Sky Tutoring on a simple belief: kids don't need someone who just knows the material. They need someone who knows how to break it down, stay patient through the hard parts, and make progress actually visible.

He holds a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from Dalhousie University in Halifax, graduating with Dean's List honours. That training shaped how he approaches every subject: find the root of the problem, build a clear process, and iterate until it works. The same engineering mindset carried into a career spanning aviation, wealth management, wastewater treatment design and optimization, and quality assurance, fields that all demanded precision, clear communication, and getting the fundamentals right the first time.

Long before any of that, Este was learning what it takes to lead a team: as captain of his high school rugby team, and competing in flag football through university. That experience, reading people, staying calm under pressure, and pushing a group toward a shared goal, shows up in every tutoring session. For the last five years, he's brought that same discipline and energy to helping students from preschool through grade 12 close gaps, build confidence, and genuinely enjoy learning again.

He's strongest in the sciences, particularly math and chemistry, and sports and fitness remain a constant in his life outside of work.

Gabriela Perez Nasibullina, tutor at Blue Sky Tutoring
Chemical Engineering Technologist, SAIT Energy Engineering, University of Calgary Bilingual: English & Spanish
Tutor

Gabriela Perez Nasibullina

Gabriela has been tutoring since a young age, and it shows in how naturally she works with students. She's comfortable teaching any grade from 1st through 12th, and has also tutored post-secondary students, so she can carry a student from their very first math class through their toughest university course.

She graduated as a Chemical Engineering Technologist from SAIT and is currently studying Energy Engineering at the University of Calgary, giving her a strong technical foundation across math and the sciences. She's fluent in both English and Spanish, and works with students in whichever language helps them learn best.

Patient and motivated, Gabriela brings the same steady energy to every session, whether a student needs help with fundamentals or is working through advanced material.

Martin Espanioli, tutor at Blue Sky Tutoring
Political Science, Economics Minor University of Calgary MBA in Finance, in progress
Tutor

Martin Espanioli

Martin brings an academic background in Political Science and Economics, paired with a genuine passion for helping others grow. He earned his degree in Political Science, with a minor in Economics, from the University of Calgary, and is currently pursuing an MBA in Finance.

His broad perspective on how systems, policy, and ideas connect gives him a natural way of breaking down complex topics for students, whether in the humanities or beyond. That same instinct for making things click is what makes him effective in the classroom.

Martin has a long-standing commitment to volunteering across various organizations, often alongside Este, and that dedication to community carries directly into his tutoring. He believes in the same kind of patient, long-term investment in a student's growth as he does in giving back more broadly.
